What We Do
The Roseville String Ensemble was formed in 1998 -
to bring together amateur string players in the Roseville area to learn and perform ensemble
music in settings that foster personal growth and satisfaction, and to provide opportunities to
contribute to the community through the art of music.
Guest Conductor Joel Johnson is back...
for the eleventh year to direct the Community Carol Sing-along. Making music with Joel is always
a special event - a sentiment shared by the students whose lives he's enriched during his 32-year
career as a music educator in Roseville. In 1993 he was named Minnesota Choral Director of the
Year.Retired from public school teaching, Joel directs the choir at Falcon Heights United Church of
Christ.
